Group segregation refers to the separation or division of different social, racial, ethnic, or religious groups within a society. This can occur through various means, such as physical separation in terms of living areas, educational institutions, workplaces, or social gatherings.

Segregation can lead to various negative consequences, such as perpetuating inequalities, reinforcing stereotypes, limiting opportunities for social interaction and understanding between different groups, and fostering discrimination and prejudice.
