Urban residential segregation refers to the separation of different racial or socioeconomic groups into distinct residential areas within a city. This phenomenon can be seen in many cities around the world, where certain neighborhoods are predominantly inhabited by people of a certain race or income level. Residential segregation can perpetuate social and economic inequalities, as it can limit access to resources and opportunities for marginalized groups.
